Masterpieces
This was our tempera painting while we were to make a painting of our bucket list. As you see, it's apparent that I enjoy my traveling; nevertheless, I have symbols of golf as well as a hidden slice of pizza if you can find it. I learned that it is very difficult to blend colors together so they can run smoothly and fluidly throughout the painting. If I could do anything differently, I would have like to work on my penmanship with the paint while writing the quote. Also, the quote states, "You can catch a lot of flies with honey, but you can catch more honeys being fly."
This is my mixed media painting which depicts the fact that it is based on traveling. I learned that there were many more ways to paint besides using paint. That was the target too of this project to make us think outside of the box to paint differently. Many things went well including my 3-D effect which is hard to see in the picture but the United States map is a pop-up. I could improve on possibly making my picture blend into one big picture which would be cool. However, I was happy with my overall painting with my mixed/multi media masterpiece.
I learned how to use unique colors when it comes down to a typical colored photo. I drew a usual black and white cow many different colors! The face and mixing of different colors went well because it adds a colorful dimension to the usual painting. I could improve on making the background a darker color where there is less patchy spots. That's an easy fix because it could just use some more paint!
I learned that I enjoy painting in the scenery type of paintings because they are fun to use unique ways to paint different objects. I did a painting of a lake with the mountains behind it because I saw the original picture and thought it would be a really cool painting. I could improve on painting a little darker to get more depth to the painting, but overall, it was a relatively nice painting to finish with.
